Teens charged in Winnipeg after assaults connected to online sales

Winnipeg police say two 17-year-old boys have been charged in connection to a series of robberies involving online transactions.

Police posted a Twitter message earlier this week saying that a number of people had been injured, and advised people not to meet anyone from online retail sites until suspects were apprehended.

They say one suspect pulled a firearm on an 18-year-old man selling clothing online.

Three other robberies happened within a span of two hours, with the victims being assaulted with a firearm.

Police say one of those victims, a 25-year-old selling a watch, had a weapon pointed at his head, several shots were fired and he was assaulted.

The two teens face several charges, including armed robbery using a firearm and aggravated assault.
