Limerick welcomes Nicole Ilcio as new deputy clerk and treasurer

At the Jan. 18 Limerick Township council meeting, council introduced a bylaw, 2021-03, to appoint a new deputy clerk and deputy treasurer to work in the town office. The motion to put forward this bylaw was put forth by Councillor Kimberly Carson and seconded by Councillor Jan MacKillican and ultimately passed by the council. The new deputy clerk and deputy treasurer, introduced to everyone in the Zoom meeting that day, is Nicole Ilcio.

Ilcio says that she and her family recently moved into the area in October 2020, but they have owned property here for a number of years. She says she was born and raised in Campbellford, Ontario, and here background is in administration.

“I worked for Steve McKeown, who owns Eagle Airfield and Industrial Equipment for 10 years and then I later went into the veterinary profession where I was the office manager for English Line Veterinary Services for approximately 15 years,” she says.

Ilcio says that she is excited to join the team at Limerick Township.

“Everyone has been very welcoming and supportive. I have lots to learn and I look forward to this opportunity and to serving the community that I live in.”
